V for Vendetta versus Brave New World

Brave New World has been an interesting read so far...these people are living in a world of ignorance, only calmed by their drug habits and sense of normality. They definitely can't think for themselves, which differs from V in many ways. First, these people in BNW don't even have the capacity to stage a revolution like V did. V understood the injustice that was going on, although I think he did it mostly for personal revenge as opposed to fighting for the rights of all. Actually, based on the end of the movie, he represented the freedoms that everybody needed and embodied, and was a symbol for those who had the courage to speak out against the government. But I believe V started out his mission for purely revengeful reasons for the scientists doing their experiments on him. With BNW, it's in a way a utopia for some people, but what's the use if you can't think for yourself or find your own happiness, your own revolution? It's scary to think of people just being cloned one after another, with individuality being lost. That's dangerous territory to be in, and sometimes it seems like we are headed in that direction, merely because of the tendency of brainwashing and subliminal messaging to make us all think a certain way. Also, scaring us into thinking a certain way is certainly a tactic being used these days. The world of V was a free world in some ways, and others not. Same as BNW, since ignorance is sometimes bliss.
